Well we’re still here at Parker where it is fun and finally warm. We’ve been enjoying ourselves. Everyone in Parker must own or ride an ATV. They are like ants-everywhere!

Jerry & I wandered around our campsite and discovered some unusual finds and I decided to put them togehter in a photo collage. What can you find in the desert…and this isn’t everything! I didn’t get pictures of the 3 golf balls Jerry found at our last site!

Jerry saw this chair down by the wash where the big ATV and cycle races are run. It is quite comfy, doesn’t smell and even works!

I have been to several places where there is no place to hang a bird feeder and we found this huge pipe with a bend in it just perfect for a feeder holder. Not to far from our camp site was one of the better fire pits I have ever seen. Someone took their time to establish & hope that it would still be there when they returned.

This was an actual barbeque with no legs-just set into the ground and filled with rocks. A perfect pit for using a dutch oven.

We took an adventure trip to a place out in the desert-I mean really out in the desert-a bar. In fact it is called the Desert Bar and is only open from noon to sunset Saturday & Sundays because they run only on solar power and it is a 5 mile gravel road (quite rough) into the bar. It is quite a unique place and there were scads of people enjoying the sunny Sunday we went.

There are tables outside everywhere, live music playing, the facade of a church can be seen in the background where people actually get married. Amazing how everything runs on solar power.
